A month down the line

May 31, 2007

The awards have been open just a month, and we are astonished by the response we have received. There have been a number of interesting entries, many of which seamlessly suiting are our categories others which still need a little work – we’re stilling sifting through all the entries to make sure they meet our requirements.

We’d like to thank everyone who has submitted their website(s) so far. For those that have not – remember you have until August 1st to submit your site, we look forward to seeing your entries.

We are proud to have had a truly international response to the awards with people visiting from our base in the United Kingdom through to Guatemala, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Singapore and with greatest international interest from Western Europe and North America. We have also had a number of international website entries, which are truely great. It just goes to show how the need for accessible web design is global.

As the awards continue we are working to keep project at the forefront. A week long advertising campaign with the theFWA starts on Monday 4th June, so make sure you head over and have a look. We’ll also have a feature in a up coming issue of .Net magazine –  more information nearer the time. Our first newsletter is coming together nicely and we’re just adding the finishing touches. It’ll include updates on the awards, web accessibility tips and interviews with our judges - so make sure you are signed up.

Our website has also been graciously featured on a number of websites, and we thank them all for taking their time and effort to do so – and of course we thank for everyone visiting the site and sending us your e-mails of interest and support.
